Sir Bob Geldof
Sir Bob Geldof became famous as the lead singer of The Boomtown Rats, especially when they released "I Don't Like Mondays" which is a song about a school shooting in San Diego, USA.

In 1985 he organised Live Aid (a massive concert) with Midge Ure (Ultravox) to raise money for the Ethiopian famine. It was attended by 72,000 people and watched by over 1.9 Billion people around the world. They also wrote "Do they know its Christmas" to raise funds and was recorded in Sarm West Studios in a day with a host of other musicians. It sold over 3 million copies

Bob is well known for his activism especially anti-poverty. He has lived in Faversham since the early 1980s in a 12th century Priory in Davington.
