At an early age Peter developed an interest in electronics.

His gran (who worked in a factory that build radios) would bring back electronic circuit boards for him to play with - she also taught him how to solder. He would assemble these boards into all kinds of configurations, but as he had no idea what he was doing, so nothing he built worked.




It was at that point he decided to learn properly, so got some books on electronics and started to learn how various electronic components worked and how circuits were put together.

He started with a simple crystal radio, then advanced to transistors and then to valves.
